The theme for our June story slam was Family Ties. We heard stories about blood relations, chosen family, surprising DNA test results, and one story about Family (mafia) ties. Our winner was Ann Jacob, who shared about finding community and solidarity with her church family during her tenure as a pastor of an open and affirming congregation.

Ann won an exclusive York Story Slam-branded journal from our friends at Story Supply Co and earned a spot in our Grand Slam in November. Ann is pictured here with this month’s emcee, Corey Wolfe.
