*Brad Jennings wins our June 16 virtual story slam, earning himself another YSS journal and a spot in our 2020 Grand Slam.*

The theme for our June story slam was PET PEEVES and featured eight storytellers from York, Lancaster County, Philadelphia, Virginia, and Denver. We heard stories about things that get on people’s nerves, ways that people get on others’ nerves, and even a story about a pet who was constantly peeved. The evening was hosted by our 2017 Grand Slam champ, Eileen Joyce, who joined us from Whidbey Island in Washington State. Brad Jennings won with his story about anxiety over finding enough space in the overhead compartment on an airplane.

Brad won an exclusive York Story Slam journal from our friends at Story Supply Co. and earned a spot in our Grand Slam in November. Brad was our very first Grand Slam champ back in 2016 and has MC'ed the Grand Slam every year since. We're excited to welcome him back as a competitor this year.
